Dear AOFOG colleagues and friends,

It is a great pleasure to host the 28^th Asia and Oceania Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AOFOG) Congress in the lovely sea-side city, Busan, Korea in May 2024. The theme of AOFOG 2024 is "Quantum Leap for Women's Health in Asia and Oceania". As the Chairman of Korean Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (KSOG), I would like to welcome all the members and colleagues of AOFOG with warm hearts.

Busan is the second largest city and number one hub in Korea as well. The unique features of Busan, the harmony of beautiful beach and trend-setting metropolis are perfect for this huge scientific festival and thus, will make you excited.

The biennial congress is surely the centerpiece of AOFOG's activities, featuring pre-congress courses, workshops, high-level scientific programs, oral and poster presentations, exhibits, and more. Through the congress, doctors from all over Asia and Oceania discuss the very current clinical practices in obstetrics and gynecology, learn the cutting-edge scientific research and enjoy the cultural experiences of the place holding the congress. The congress will provide the new presenters with the opportunity to connect to the world-wide network and the noble leaders in obstetrics and gynecology.

In addition, as Dr. Pisake Lumbiganon, the president of AOFOG, has mentioned in his welcome message, we prepared the important social issues to share among all the delegates from each society: defeating the spread of cervical cancer and active prevention of violence against women. Together, we will be able to approach the better future for healthcare and social rights of women.
